I see all these commercials and all these "features" that are inputted into the shoe...does it really make them better then a decent pair of basketball shoes?
Does it matter what kind of basketball shoes i wear?
Basketball shoes are important depending on your needs. If you have weak ankles, you definitely want extra support there. If you need arch support, if you are not properly aligned... etc. If you do not wear the correct shoes for your body, you are more prone to injury and anytime a "feature" is needed the cost will inevitably be higher. Not all injuries are instant either. Some develop over a period of time. Your shoes can have an effect on your feet, ankles, knees, back, and neck. I think good shoes are worth the investment if they will prevent injury.
Reply:yea cheap shoes do fall apart faster than those that are more expensive, but they still dont make you a better player
Reply:what do u think. let me ask u this if it didnt matter then y do asketball players all have really nice/expansive shoes nad sign big indorsment deals with shoe companies
Reply:Yes, cheap shoes fall apart easier
Reply:The brand of shoe really doesn't matter if you use them only for basketball. Paying $200.00 for something you put your feet in is just ridiculous.
I personally like low tops because they give me more mobility. High tops are good for larger guys that aren't actively running the floor.
All these major shoe companies sell moderately priced shoes for basketball. You can find Adidas,Reeboks and Nikes that aren't overpriced and that still have the name brand appeal.
