Anyone seen one of these, or know what I'm talking about? I play basketball in a weekend league, and the gym where we play has floors that get rather dusty/slippery. When I was in college, I once saw a basketball gym that had this sort of mat, maybe 16 inches by 30 inches, flat, and the top surface was covered with a sticky substance that would rub off the dust and grit from your shoes and leave them with better tread for the gym floor.
Did I dream this? I'd love to buy one now, but I don't know where to get them, or even what they're called to try to find one on-line. It was pretty low-tech, but it was definitely manufactured for this specific purpose - it might even have been made by a shoe company.
Any help? Thanks!
I once saw this mat, or board, covered in sticky material to keep basketball shoes from getting slippery?

Try that.
Reply:I have seen something similar that was made for the construction industry to keep workers from tracking in dust and debris. It was a sticky pad that was to be placed in the doorway and had several sheets that could be peeled off as they became full.
Try a construction supply place.
Reply:yeah i've seen these they use them during NBA games. i would even try a place like sports authority if they have one near you. i would think they would be easy to find.
