I have a pair of Jordan Men's Melo 5.5 basketball shoes. After about 3 months of wearin them, I began to notice that my Jordans started to squeak when i walked. So I was wondering why they squeak.

Its probably because of the rubber sole. Basketball shoes are like squash shoes or any other court shoe which requires a strong grip. The squeak is audible in certain surfaces such as court and passages.
