Just for the training now. The boxing place is all wooden floors. Would basketball shoes be better than running shoes? Thank you
How are basketball shoes for boxing. Need ankle support?

Reply:no they would be worse. use sambas made by Adidas. they are great sneakers for boxing. btw not only are they great for boxing but they are usually good priced. I got mine for about $40
Reply:Basketball shoes would be too heavy. During training, you need to focus a lot on footwork, and I just don't see that hapenning in basketball shoes.
Reply:Either is good as long as they're flexible. Remember, you're going to be on your toes or really, the balls of your feet most of the time, if your form is correct.
A good, flexible sole is what's important here. Ankle support, not as much.
Reply:you need to train inwhat you be will waering for the match so you have the proper feel and weight. when you enter the ring you will know exactly the right feel.. spend the money but the right shoes..you will be glad you did..
